firstly re check the connections on the back. there should be 4 connections. 1 is the aerial and the other 3 are electrical. make sure they are all there and connected properly. turn your car on and check the display if still nothing you need to remove the display or try to follow the wiring to the display and ensure all the wiring is connected. .
